Viral Video: Auto Rickshaw Driver Woefully Abuses Bike Taxi Rider, Probe Initiated
The Bengaluru Police said that strict action would be taken in this matter.
A Video of an Autorickshaw Driver in Bengaluru abusing a Bike Taxi Rider went viral on social media. In the video, Auto driver can be seen shattering the helmet of a bike taxi rider on floor, and then abusing him. Taking in view the video surfaced on Internet, the Bengaluru police have registered a case against the autorickshaw driver.
In the video, the Auto driver said, "The bike taxi rider works with the aggregator 'Rapido' and because of him, auto drivers are losing their customers. You come from a different place and do this service."
As per the report, the bike taxi driver is reportedly from the northeast. The video was shot by a witness. Seeking action against the Auto rickshaw driver, the witness shared the video on Twitter and tagged the Bengaluru police. He tweeted, "Strict action should be taken against this auto driver under the law. Is there no such thing as law in Bangalore City?"
In Response, The Bengaluru police said that strict action would be taken in this matter. Taking to Twitter, Bengaluru City Police wrote, "Police in Indiranagar are investigating the incident. Strict and necessary action will be taken."
