Indian Degrees to be Recognized in Australia, Announces PM Anthony Albanese

AHMEDABAD: Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced on Wednesday (March 8) evening that his country and the Government of India have finalized the Australia-India Education Qualifications Recognition Mechanism. PM Albanese officially announced at an event that Australia's Deakin University will set up an international branch campus at 'GIFT City' in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

He said, “There has been significant progress in education relations. I am pleased to inform you that we have finalized the Australia-India Education Qualifications Recognition Mechanism."

Albanese said, “The new system means that if you are an Indian student studying or have studied in Australia, your hard-earned degree will be recognized when you return home. If you are a member of the larger Indian diaspora group in Australia, you will feel more confident that your Indian qualifications will be recognized in Australia."
