Himachal CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Missing Samosa Controversy Latest news: A unique controversy has unfolded in Himachal Pradesh over missing samosas meant for Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu during an event at the state CID headquarters. Allegations emerged suggesting that a CID probe was launched to investigate the whereabouts of the snacks, sparking widespread discussion.
However, CID officials clarified that no formal investigation was ordered. Sanjeev Ranjan Ojha, Director General of Himachal Pradesh CID, explained it was simply an informal query among officers about missing snack boxes. “After the event, officers were having tea, and someone wondered what happened to the snacks. This was just an internal matter, now unfortunately politicized,” Ojha stated.
The Chief Minister’s Office also denied any official probe. Chief Media Advisor Naresh Chauhan emphasized that it was solely a CID concern and criticized the opposition BJP for amplifying the issue. "The government has not ordered any probe. The BJP is spreading false propaganda as it lacks substantial issues against the Congress government," Chauhan remarked.
According to reports, CID staff initially assumed the snacks were not on the Chief Minister’s menu. A misunderstanding led to the snack boxes being served in the IG's room, where 10-12 people shared them over tea. BJP spokesperson Randhir Sharma criticized the incident, saying, "This incident shows the government’s focus on the Chief Minister’s samosas instead of state development."
The unusual samosa episode has since become a hot topic in the political landscape of Himachal Pradesh.
