Mumbai Rains Latest News: Few trains cancelled amid heavy rainfall

Mumbai Rains Latest News: Mumbai experienced heavy rainfall over the past 24 hours that caused waterlogging, long traffic jams, and disruptions to local train services and flight operations. According to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), in a six-hour span from 1 am to 7 am on Monday, various parts of Mumbai received over 300 mm of rainfall.

Due to the heavy rainfall, the BMC declared a holiday in all BMC, Government, and Private schools in Mumbai.

It is also pertinent to inform you that the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy to very heavy rainfall in Mumbai for Monday. The residents have been advised not to believe in rumors and to only step out, if necessary.

To drain the water from the track, there is a high-capacity water pump available, ensuring a smoother commute for Mumbai residents, the railway said.
