Dinesh Kumar Sharma, Valiant Soldier, Martyred During Cross-Border Shelling latest news: In a national tragedy, Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar Sharma of the 5 Field Regiment was killed in action while under Pakistani army shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.

The 32-year-old soldier, who hailed from Muhammadpur village in Palwal, Haryana, was on duty when enemy troops opened heavy artillery and mortar fire on border villages Wednesday morning.

Condolences came from all over the nation, and Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini paid his tribute to the deceased soldier. Using social media, he stated in sorrow:

"Braveheart" Dinesh Kumar Sharma from Palwal, Haryana, stood tall amidst Pakistan's gunfire and sacrificed himself for the nation. All Indians are proud of your martyrdom, and the nation will never forget your sacrifice. Salute to our hero!"

Dinesh Kumar Sharma, a committed serviceman, was serving along the Poonch-Rajouri border in Jammu and Kashmir. He has behind him his pregnant wife, Seema, a lawyer by profession. His family is committed to military service, with two of his brothers and three cousins serving in the armed forces.

His father, Dayachand, was full of pride in his son's sacrifice, stating, "My son gave his life for the country. His courage and commitment will never be forgotten."

Dinesh is survived by his two young kids—five-year-old son Darshan and seven-year-old daughter Kavya. His family has committed to carrying his legacy forward, stating, _"We will bring up our kids to serve the country, as their father did.

Dinesh's younger brother Kapil is also serving in Jammu and Kashmir, and another brother, Hardatt, is serving in Bhopal. The family heard the news of his injuries early morning, and official eulogies followed shortly.

Having enlisted in the artillery regiment in 2014, Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar Sharma was a pillar of strength in the battlefield. As per District Deputy Commissioner Dr. Harish Kumar, his last rites would be conducted in his native village with full state honors.

India laments the death of yet another fearless soldier who gave his life while performing his duties, bringing to the forefront of national minds the unbreakable determination and will of its soldiers.
