PM Modi Extends Greetings on International Women's Day; Govt Organizes Quiz
To qualify for the winners' list, participants' MyGov profiles must be updated and accurate.
As 8 March marks International Women’s Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday morning extended greetings to women, saying that women’s empowerment is at the core of various schemes and initiatives of the government.
In a post on his X, PM Modi wrote, “On International Women’s Day, I extend my greetings to all our Nari Shakti.”
PM Modi said that women are shaping India’s progress with determination, creativity and unmatched zeal across every field.
“Their achievements inspire our nation and strengthen our collective resolve to build a Viksit Bharat,” he added.
Speaking about women’s rising role in India’s progress, in a subsequent post he said the achievements of India’s Nari Shakti are a source of pride and a powerful reminder of their transformative role in nation-building.
“As India progresses further, the aspirations and contributions of women will continue to guide our collective journey towards a strong and prosperous nation,” he added.
Quiz Competition on International Women’s Day
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the government has organised a quiz competition. The competition is open to all Indian citizens and will be conducted online.
However, employees directly or indirectly connected with the organisers of the quiz are not eligible to participate. This ineligibility also applies to their immediate family members.
The quiz is hosted by MyGov and is available on www.quiz.mygov.in
. It is available in English and Hindi.
The time-bound quiz will start as soon as the participant clicks on the ‘Play Quiz’ option. Participants will have 300 seconds to answer 10 questions.
To qualify for the winners’ list, participants’ MyGov profiles must be updated and accurate.
Number of Attempts
A participant can attempt the quiz only once. Multiple entries from the same participant, if found, will result in the participant being disqualified from the quiz.
The quiz winning criteria is answering all the questions correctly within 300 seconds.
The government said that the winners’ selection will be conducted through a system-generated randomisation method to ensure fairness and transparency.
“All participants who meet the mentioned quiz winning criteria, including all correct answers and submission within the stipulated time-frame, will be included in a centralized pool of eligible entries. Winners will be selected solely through an automated random selection process,” the government said.
Additionally, only one member per family will be considered for winner shortlisting to ensure fairness and equal opportunity.
Any use of unfair or spurious means or malpractices, including but not limited to impersonation or double participation during the quiz, will result in the participation being declared null and void. The person will be rejected.
The winner selection will be announced on blog.mygov.in, and further details of the event will be shared with the winners through official communication.
