Farmers' protest turns violent at Hattaragi toll plaza in Belagavi, several vehicles damaged

The farmers’ protest at Hattaragi toll plaza in Karnataka’s Belagavi district turned violent on Friday as stone pelting broke out, damaging several vehicles. The protestors have been demonstrating over the issue of fixing sugarcane prices, according to ANI.

Police personnel were present at the spot to control the situation.

Visuals from the protest site showed a goods carrier completely damaged in the stone pelting, while several other vehicles, including a bus, were also affected by the violence.
