CJI BR Gavai’s Mother and Sister Condemn The Attack Latest news: Chief Justice of India BR Gavai’s mother, Kamalai Gavai, and sister, Kirti Arjun, condemned the attempted attack, calling it “highly deplorable” and “unconstitutional.”
Yesterday, in a shocking turn of events, a 71-year-old lawyer, Rakesh Kishore, allegedly tried to hurl a shoe at the CJI during court proceedings but was stopped just in time by alert security personnel.
Hours after the incident, the Bar Council of India suspended advocate Rakesh Kishore from practice in courts with immediate effect.
Leaders across party lines, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, condemned the act and sought legal action against the accused lawyer.
