Will KFC Change its Menu to Pure Veg for Ram Mandir?

KFC to go vegetarian if it wants to enter Ayodhya

Ayodhya: In view of the success of Domino's in Ayodhya, which is just a kilometre away from the newly constructed Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir, the officials have indicated the possibility of opening an outlet of US-based Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) but on a conditon.

Over 2 lakh devotees have been coming every day for darshan of Ram Lalla at Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, due to which there has been an increase in other businesses, including hotels and restaurants. Many international brands are planning to open their own outlets there.

Meanwhile, American fast food giant Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) has also shown their keen interest in opening its outlet in Ayodhya. However, the company will have to make changes in the menu because Ayodhya has been declared a non-vegetarian free area.

KFC to stick this condition to open its outlet in Ayodhya:

According to a Money Control report, after the success of Domino's in Ayodhya, KFC will have to go vegetarian in line with the city's strict 'vegetarian only policy'. If KFC wants to enter Ayodhya, it will have to adapt itself to the spiritual city. Notably, KFC is primarily known for its chicken.

Ayodhya Development Authority Vice Chairman Vishal Singh said that KFC has set up its unit on the Ayodhya-Lucknow highway because they do not allow non-vegetarian foods around the Ram temple.

If KFC decides to sell only vegetarian items, then the administration may accommodate that too. He said they also welcome them with open heart, but the only restriction is that they should not sell non-vegetarian food items inside Panch Kosi Marg.
