Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge meet Hemant Soren &Family at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi News:

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi visited Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi on Monday to pay their last respects to Shibu Soren, the three-time Chief Minister of Jharkhand, who passed away that day.

Both leaders offered their condolences to Hemant Soren, the current Chief Minister of Jharkhand, and son of the late Shibu Soren.

Earlier on Monday, Mallikarjun Kharge wrote a letter of condolence on behalf of the Indian National Congress to Hemant Soren. The letter expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Shibu Soren, referring to him as a distinguished public figure, a sitting Member of Rajya Sabha, and the founding patron of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha.

The letter read, "I, on my behalf and on behalf of the Indian National Congress, express my heartfelt condolences and deep anguish over the sad demise of your revered father, Guruji Shibu Soren."

It continued, "Shri Shibu Soren Ji served the people of Jharkhand with distinction, holding the office of Chief Minister on three occasions. In his role as Chief Minister and as a Union Cabinet Minister, he demonstrated exceptional administrative acumen and an unwavering commitment to public service."

Describing Soren as an "able parliamentarian," Kharge highlighted that Shibu Soren was elected to Lok Sabha six times and to Rajya Sabha three times.

"A true man of the masses, he dedicated his life to voicing the concerns of the people, especially the tribals, the marginalized, and the downtrodden. He tirelessly fought for the fundamental rights of jal, jangal, and zameen of the Adivasis and was instrumental in the movement for the creation of a separate state of Jharkhand," the letter stated.

The letter concluded by expressing that with Soren's passing, both the nation and the state of Jharkhand have lost a visionary leader and a guiding public figure. "May his soul rest in peace. I fervently pray that your good self and all your family members find strength and solace in this hour of profound grief," Kharge wrote.

Earlier on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also visited Hemant Soren and the family at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital to offer his condolences.
