Sanjay Raut Says INDIA Bloc's Only Demand Is Special Session on Pahalgam Attack, Not Govt’s Action

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut demands Special Session on Pahalgam Attack latest news: On the INDIA bloc's demand for a special session of Parliament, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Wednesday said that the bloc's only demand is to discuss the Pahalgam terror attack and not the actions taken by the government.

Speaking to ANI, Sanjay Raut said, “We only want to discuss the Pahalgam terror attack, not the action taken by the government.”

He further stated that the government should take the public into confidence and criticized it for keeping everything hidden.
“If 16 Opposition parties are demanding a special session on this, then a discussion should be held. In a few days, we will also send letters to the President and Prime Minister. In a democracy, the government should take the public into confidence and tell them what it is doing. But in the largest democracy, everything is being kept hidden from the public,” he added.

This past Sunday, Congress leader Pawan Khera also reiterated the party’s demand for a special session of Parliament.

“The Congress party has long been demanding that a special session of Parliament be called. One was called during the 1962 war, but it is astonishing that now, even after the war has ended, no session has been convened.”

“Questions are arising every day — the biggest among them is Donald Trump's claims. We also want to know the terms of the ceasefire and why it was announced so suddenly by the U.S. President. The CDS's statements also raise many questions. The government needs to come forward. The country needs to know about our defence preparedness,” Khera added.
