We investigated the Defense Outpost account that shared the viral claim in the final phase

RSFC (Team Mohali): A Post is going viral on social media claiming that Sikh Pilots and workers in IAF refused to perform their duties due to harassment given by their Senior Hindu Officers.

X account Defence Outpost shared the claim and wrote, "A source from inside the Indian Air Force claims that majority of Sikh pilots and personnel are refusing to perform their duties because of their hindu seniors insulting them on regular basis."

Spokesman in it's investigation found the viral claim to be fake. IAF denied the viral claim.

To Start our investigation, we first did keyword search to find the news reports regarding the claim. In our search, we did not found any news claiming this news to be true but we found a tweet by Indian Air Force denying the viral claim.

Indian Air Force On 2 October 2023, tweeted about the viral claim and wrote, "#FakeNewsAlert #Beware The information is not true and has been posted to spread rumours. #IndianAirForce"

Hence, it is clear that the viral claim is fake.

"We investigated the Defense Outpost account that shared the viral claim in the final phase. We found that the account often spreads misleading and false claims against the Indian Army and the account also frequently posts in favor of the Pakistani Army."

Conclusion- Viral claim is fake. Indian Air Force in it's tweet denied the claim.
