A SriLankan Airlines flight from Chennai to Colombo underwent a comprehensive security inspection upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport on Saturday, following an alert from Indian authorities about a potential suspect linked to the recent Pahalgam terror attack. According to The Hindu, all passengers, including transit travelers, were thoroughly screened, but no individual matching the provided identity was found.

Flight UL 122, operated by aircraft 4R-ALS, landed in Colombo at 11:59 hours.

The inspection was conducted in coordination with local authorities after receiving information from the Chennai Area Control Centre regarding a suspect wanted in India who was believed to be on board. T

The aircraft was thoroughly inspected and subsequently cleared for further operations. Sri Lankan Airlines confirmed that the comprehensive security search was carried out following the alert and that the aircraft was cleared for further operations.

The Sri Lanka Police, Sri Lanka Air Force, and airport security units jointly carried out the search operation. No suspect was found, and the mandatory security procedure resulted in a delay to the subsequent scheduled service, according to reports.
