Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Writes to PM Modi

NEW-DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has once again written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Chief Minister of Delhi has demanded to restore the discount given to senior citizens in train fare. He described the elimination of this exemption as unfortunate. Earlier, CM Kejriwal had written a letter to PM Modi regarding the Delhi budget.

Arvind Kejriwal wrote, "For the last several years, the senior citizens of the country were getting up to 50 percent discount on train travel. Crores of senior citizens of the country were getting the benefit. Your government has abolished this discount, This is very unfortunate. Recently in the Lok Sabha, your government said that Rs 1600 crore is being saved annually by stopping the concession given to senior citizens in rail travel."

Referring to taking the elders of Delhi on a pilgrimage, he said that our progress is due to the blessings of our elders. No person, no society or no country can progress without their blessings. For example, in Delhi, we take senior citizens on free trips to pilgrimage sites of their choice. This brings happiness to the elderly. They bless us from the depths of their hearts. Kejriwal said that it is not a matter of money, but of intention.
