Schools, colleges, and institutions will be shut on this day. A few states, such as Uttar Pradesh, have announced a four-day holiday in a row because of Holi and Holika Dahan. All schools, colleges, banks, and government offices in the state will be shut during this time. This is in accordance with the official calendar of the Uttar Pradesh government so that people can enjoy the celebrations to the fullest.
This year, Uttar Pradesh will have a non-stop four-day holiday during Holi. Holika Dahan is the government holiday on March 13th, and the Holi festival on March 14th. Therefore, all government offices, schools, and aided schools will be closed. Banks will also be closed on March 15th for the second Saturday, and on March 16th for the weekly holiday.
