LPG Cylinder Price Today: Setback to Common People Ahead of Budget 2024

LPG Cylinder Price Today Ahead of Union Budget 2024: In a major setback to the common people ahead of the presentation of Union Budget 2024, the LPG Cylinder prices have been updated in all the cities across the country on 1 February 2024. The oil marketing companies have increased the prices of commercial cylinders while the rates of domestic cylinders are still stable as there has been no change of any kind in it.

OMCs have increased the prices of commercial cylinders by Rs 14 which means that the commercial cylinder will now be available in Delhi for Rs 1769.50 while in Mumbai its price will be Rs 1708.50 and in Chennai, it will be available for Rs 1937.

In the meanwhile, the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is all set to present the Interim Union Budget 2024. Given the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, the interim budget will be presented on 1 February. After the results, the Union Budget will be brought by the new government. The rise in LPG cylinder prices ahead of the interim budget has shocked the general public.

Domestic cylinder price

Notably, there has been no change in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders which are available at Rs 903 in Delhi, Rs 902 in Mumbai, and Rs 918.50 in Chennai.

It may be recalled that the government had last changed the prices of domestic cylinders on August 30, 2023, when the prices were reduced by Rs 200. Earlier, the price of domestic cylinders was at Rs 1103.
