Himachal Pradesh Political Crisis: Trouble mounts for Sukhu government as Vikramaditya Singh resigns

Himachal Pradesh Political Crisis, Vikramaditya Singh resignation news: In a major setback to the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh, the PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh announced his resignation on Wednesday and even raised a lot of questions on the Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.

According to information, Himachal Pradesh minister Vikramaditya Singh quit as a minister this morning and accused the Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu of overlooking MLAs and disrespecting his father and Congress's tallest leader in the hill state, the late Virbhadra Singh.

The development comes amid dramatic developments in Himachal Pradesh in over last 24 hours. The state on Tuesday witnessed high-voltage drama for a single Rajya Sabha seat where, somehow, the Bharatiya Janata Party managed to secure victory despite Congress' majority in the state.

Singh said there was a need to look into the reasons why the Congress regime was on the brink of collapse. "How did such a situation arise when the party had a complete majority?" he asked.

He also said that he was compelled to speak on the functioning of the government as no post was important for him, but it was the people that mattered most to him.
