Himachal Pradesh News, Vikramaditya Singh Big U-Turn on resignation: In a major turn of events, Himachal Pradesh's PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh, who earlier resigned on Wednesday from his post, said he won't "press" on his resignation.

His statement came after a meeting with party observers Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Bhupesh Baghel and DK Shivakumar in Shimla.

"It is the responsibility of every individual to strengthen the organisation. In the larger interest and unity of the party, the resignation by me in the morning which the CM refused to accept, I would not like to press it further. There was no danger (to the government), it was just a creation," Vikramaditya Singh said. 

Likewise, Congress leader and Chief Whip Harshwardhan Chauhan said, “We submitted a petition to the Speaker demanding the expulsion of six rebel MLAs. A hearing was held today at 1pm. Lawyers of both sides presented their arguments in front of the Speaker and we hope the Speaker will make a decision on it (soon).”

“Congress party observers who came to Shimla are talking with party MLAs and taking their opinions. They met Vikramaditya Singh and talked to him. CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and party high command have stated that they are not going to accept his resignation and he has also agreed not to press on his decision to resign,” said Congress MP Rajeev Shukla after meeting with party observers in Shimla.
