Himachal Pradesh Weather Warnings for August 25 Latest News: Red Alerts issued in several districts, predicting intense rainfall at isolated places.
Nowcast, Himachal Weather Update August 25 (Valid Till 3 PM): The Meteorological Centre, Shimla, has issued Red, orange and yellow alerts for the entire Himachal Pradesh, predicting intense spell at isolated places, moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and strong wind.
Red Alert: Chamba and Kangra districts of the state have been placed under red alert, warning of intense rainfall at isolated places. These districts have also been warned of moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms with wind speed reaching up to 40 kmph.
Note: The predictions in the nowcast are valid up to 3 pm this after.
Orange Alert: The districts under the orange alert in the nowcast are Kullu, Mandi, Hamirpur, Una, Bilaaspur, Solan, Shimla, and Lahul and Spiti. The state IMD has predicted moderate rainfall with maximum surface wind speed less than 40 kmph. These districts have also been warned of one or two intense spells at isolated places.
Yellow Alert: Meanwhile, two districts, Kinnaur and Sirmaur, have been put under a yellow alert warning of moderate rain with a rainfall between 5-15mm per hour.
Himachal Weather Forecast for the Entire Day for August 25:
In its forecast, the India Meteorological Department, Shimla, has issued red alerts in Chamba, Mandi, and Kangra, warning of very heavy rainfall.
Hamirpur, Una, Bilaaspur, and Kullu have been issued an orange alert predicting very heavy rainfall again.
Lahul Spiti and Shimla, under a yellow alert, have been warned of heavy rain.
No weather alerts have been issued for the remaining three districts-Kinnuar, Solan ,and Sirmaur for today in the forecast for August 25.
Himachal Pradesh Weather Observed in the past 24 hours
In the past 24 hours, as reported at 8:30 in the morning today, the lowest minimum temperature in the state of 11.4 °C was recorded in Keylong.
Weather Outlook For August 25 and for The Next Few Days:
The weather looks pretty much the same for tomorrow for August 26, with all three weather alerts issued in the state, with the exception of four districts, which are Solan, Sirmaur, Shimla and Kinnaur. No alerts have been issued for these four districts in the forecast.
The weather is likely to remain pleasant and not threatening from the day after tomorrow as only a yellow alert remains in place in a few districts till August 29.
