India Corona Cases latest News: In the last 24 hours, two patients have died in the country due to a new variant of COVID-19. According to the Health Department, an 84-year-old man infected with COVID-19 died in Bengaluru. Earlier, a 21-year-old youth died in Thane.
This past Saturday, 23 new COVID-19 cases were reported. These included 8 from Thane, Maharashtra; 5 each from Rajasthan and Karnataka; 3 each from Uttarakhand and Haryana; 2 from Indore, Madhya Pradesh; and 1 from Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The total number of active cases has now reached 363.
Amid the rising cases across the country, the Union Health Secretary held a review meeting on Saturday. Officials from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the Department of Health Research (DHR), the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), and the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) participated in the meeting.
A Health Department official stated that new COVID-19 cases have emerged from states such as Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Karnataka. However, most cases are mild, and patients are recovering in home isolation.
