Himachal Pradesh Weather, IMD Forecast Update Latest News Today: While Punjab and Chandigarh started to received heavy rainfall, Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday issued alert for some areas.
The initial days of July witnessed a light spell of rain. However, the state hasn't recieved intense rain, as of now. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert in the state.
Monsoon rains are predicted to continue in many parts of Himachal pradesh till July 21. According to IMD, there is a yellow alert of heavy rain on July 17 and 18. On the other hand, during the last 24 hours, Sundernagar recorded 19.0 mm of rain while Mandi recorded 16.6 mm, Renukaji 15.2 mm, Kasol 13.0 mm, Pandoh 11.6 mm, Paonta 8.2 mm, Karsog 8.1 mm, Gohar 7.0 mm, Solan 4.4 mm, Sarahan 2.0 mm, Sainj 2.0 mm, Nahan 1.2 mm, Banjar 1.0 mm, Mashobra 0.5 mm and Pachhad 0.3 mm.
In the meanwhile, Shimla remained cloudy with mild sunshine on Monday.
A yellow alert was issued in Himachal Pradesh from July 18 and 21 in district Chamba and Bilaspur.
