Nowcast, Himachal Weather Update (Valid until 6 PM, August 6): The Meteorological Centre, Shimla, has issued orange and yellow alerts for Himachal Pradesh, predicting light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and maximum surface wind (less than 40 kmph).
The districts under the orange alert in the nowcast are Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Solan, Shimla, and Sirmaur. The state IMD has predicted moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, maximum surface wind (less than 40 kmph), squalls, and other weather conditions.
Meanwhile, Una, Chamba, Kinnaur and Lahul and Spiti have been placed under a yellow alert warning of light rain.
Himachal Weather Forecast for Today, August 6:
In its forecast, the India Meteorological Department, Shimla, has placed two districts, Una and Hamirpur in the state under an orange alert, predicting heavy rain.
No weather alerts have been issued for the remaining districts in the state.
