Haryana Minister Anil Vij Blames Previous Government for Waterlogging Issue in Gurugram Latest News:
Parts of Haryana have been grappling with waterlogging problems ever since the onset of the Southwest Monsoon. Among the worst affected areas is Charkhi Dadri district, where severe waterlogging has been reported.
Commenting on the situation in Gurugram, Haryana Cabinet Minister Anil Vij blamed the previous governments for the recurring urban flooding.
"At the time when Gurugram was being developed, the state was under the rule of opposition parties," Vij said. "New drains are not usually dug in an already established city. The opposition failed to build proper drainage systems during their tenure, and today, the public is suffering because of their lack of planning," he alleged.
Vij, a senior BJP leader, has been serving as a Cabinet Minister in the Haryana government since October 26, 2014.
