52nd Rose Festival in Chandigarh: Know the budget of Rose Festival 2024

Chandigarh Rose Festival 2024 news: The 52nd Rose Festival in the Rose Garden is scheduled to be held in the third week of February at Sector-16 of Chandigarh. There is a lot of craze amongst the people of the UT and even the tourists for the Rose Festival because it always creates the most beautiful vibe in the city. 

This time the Rose Festival will cost around Rs 1 crore. The Municipal Corporation has started preparations for the festival. It should be noted that the Municipal Corporation decides the budget for the Rose Festival every year. With this budget, various types of activities are carried out in the Rose Garden. 

In the 52nd Rose Festival, an estimated Rs 36 lakh will be spent on waterproof tent, furniture, security, tea-snacks and other works, CCTV with decorative and security lights will cost around Rs 11.50 lakh, an estimated Rs 7.85 lakh on other works including decorating the entry-exit gate, about Rs 20.36 lakh will be spent on various cultural programmes, posters, banner hoardings and many other works, Rs 6.50 lakh will be spent on memento-gifts etc. and lakhs will also be spent on other programmes. 

More than 1 lakh people visit the Rose Festival in all three days. Apart from Tricity, tourists from other states also come. Apart from seeing different varieties of roses, many types of programs are also organized here. These include photography events for children including Rose Prince, Rose Princess, competitions related to best garden, decorative plants etc., which people enjoy a lot. In connection with the Rose Festival, food stalls, swings etc. are also set up in Laser Valley.
