Chandigarh to Delhi transportation news: To stop farmers from going to Delhi, Haryana Police has sealed all the borders. Due to this, the commuters travelling from Chandigarh to Delhi are getting stuck in traffic jams for hours.

The number of buses going to Delhi has also reduced. Not a single bus of Punjab Roadways has went to Delhi on Tuesday. CTU has also reduced the number of buses. In such a situation, the crowd in trains and planes going to Delhi has increased significantly.

No seats available in trains:

The situation is that all the trains including Shatabdi going from Chandigarh to Delhi are full. Likewise, airplane tickets have also become four times more expensive. On Tuesday, there were long queues of passengers waiting for tickets at the general ticket counter and reservation counter of Chandigarh Railway Station. Passengers seemed upset due to unavilability of seats. 

Also, there was heavy crowd in all the trains including Chandigarh-New Delhi Shatabdi Express, New Delhi-Chandigarh Shatabdi Express, Unchahar Express. Due to non-availability of reservation, there was a tussle to travel in the general compartment. Due to overcrowding, there were many clashes between passengers.

Prices of the flights increased:

The farmers' movement also affected the tickets for flights going from Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport, Chandigarh to Delhi. Ticket prices increased four times. The price of air tickets from Chandigarh to Delhi reached Rs 16,000 instead of Rs 4000. Tickets for flights running between Chandigarh and Delhi are generally available between Rs 4000 to Rs 4500, but due to disruption of road routes, airlines have increased the prices. 

Taxi drivers also increased fares:

Due to closure of roads due to farmers' protest, taxi drivers have also increased the fares.
