The administration to host international film festival in third week of March
Chandigarh International film festival 2024 news: The UT administration is all set to host the first international film festival soon. The UT tourism department has made a detailed plan for the film festival to be organized after getting the approval from the administration.
Chandigarh will be joining hands with a private firm having expertise in organising international film festivals to organise the event. This festival is going to be a treat for all the movie buffers and an opportunity for the people with a talent for the movies.
An official from the administration department said, “The administration is preparing to host the international film festival in the third week of March. We will be inviting regional, national and international cinematic artists and stars to the city for the festival. Movies in different categories will be showcased. Interactions with renowned international movie makers will also be part of the experience.”
“In addition to the movies being screened in the cinema theatres roped in for the festival, the films will also be showcased in open areas. Such areas will be specially designed for allowing comfortable and readily accessible spots for the city residents to enjoy movies in sync with the city's environs.”
