Chandigarh's Sukhna Lake gets North India's first Pizza ATM!
A unique culinary experience which is 'Pizza ATM'
Chandigarh Sukhna Lake Pizza ATM: Chandigarh's Sukhna Lake has become the latest attraction for locals and tourists because it draws crowds not only for its natural beauty but also for a unique culinary experience which is 'Pizza ATM'. This innovative Pizza ATM has been installed by Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation (CITCO) which prepares pizza in just three minutes.
According to CITCO officials, the Pizza ATM is the first of its kind in North India. Presently, it is the only operational ATM in the country. The concept was inspired by a similar machine in France. However, Dr. Rohit Sharma of iMatrix World Wide, took up the challenge of manufacturing the machine at his Mohali factory to make it more accessible.
Dr. Rohit Sharma revealed that the idea stemmed from the success of a similar venture in Mumbai. However, it had to be closed due to challenges related to the pandemic. However, the response from people to it at Sukhna Lake has been overwhelmingly positive. The machine makes an average of 100 pizzas per day and 200 to 300 pizzas on weekends.
Pizza from ATM comes at a reasonable price. The price of these pizzas is about 35 percent cheaper than popular chains like Domino's and Pizza Hut. Options like Medium Paneer Tikka Pizza are priced at just Rs 340, compared to Rs 560 at Domino's. ATM provides convenience as well as affordability.
