Small sugar prices firmed up at the Vashi wholesale market here today on rising demand from stockists and bulk consumers. While medium sugar ended mixed trading following alternate bouts of buying and selling activity. Small sugar (S-30) price rose by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 2,860/2,952 from Monday's closing level of Rs 2,860/2,942. Medium sugar (M-30) price was quoted at Rs 2,952/3,122 per quintal as against Rs 2,956/3,102.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets: Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,860/2,952 (Rs 2,860/2,942). Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,952/3,122 (Rs 2,956/3,102).
