Is Nokia dead still in business website social media accounts renamed

Is Nokia dead? Is Nokia still in business? People in the early 2000s were new to Nokia phones and they were reliable on these due to their long-lasting battery pack up and strength. However, it seems Nokia is gone now. Yes, you read it right. HMD Global has changed the names of Nokia’s social handles and website. The new name is Human Mobile Devices (HMD).

Besides, the Nokia.com/phones URL is now directing the users to HMD Global’s website. The name change also suggests a potential withdrawal of the Nokia branding. However, HMD Global has not yet provided a proper statement regarding the discontinuation of the Nokia brand.

The development comes after earlier reports and an exclusive '91Mobiles' render leak of upcoming phones under the brand of HMD.

HMD rebrands the Nokia website

HMD Global recently released a teaser video in which it confirmed the brand’s aim to deliver to a diverse range of customers in the market besides providing a preview of upcoming products that include smartphones, tablets, wireless earbuds, and more.

The website outlines its intention to launch smartphones that are being touted as fun, secure, fast, and affordable. The brand also claims its presence in over 200 countries, having a user base that exceeds 400 million Nokia users since the takeover in 2016.

About the HMD Global phones

Recently, a leaked render showcased a Cyan-coloured smartphone bearing HMD branding on the back along with a dual rear camera setup with a Cyan accent, around the camera rings. The rear camera module also featured a “108MP OIS” badging which hints at the phone’s headline feature – a 108MP camera sensor with optical image stabilization support.
