Respect for ASHA Workers Enhanced, NDA Government Fulfills Its Commitment: Nitin Nabin
Nitin Nabin Bihar Latest news : Bihar’s Minister for Road Construction and BJP MLA from Bankipur, Shri Nitin Nabin, expressed his gratitude to the Hon’ble Chief Minister for the decision to increase the incentive amount for ASHA workers. He stated that ASHA and Mamta workers, considered the backbone of Bihar’s rural healthcare system, are finally receiving the respect and facilities they have long deserved.
During the tenure of the RJD government, the hard work and contribution of these grassroots workers were reduced to mere electoral promises and hollow announcements. For years, there were only talks of increasing their honorarium and incentive, but no real change ever reached the ground.
Shri Nitin Nabin said that the NDA government has taken a historic step in the interest of these workers. ASHA workers will now receive an incentive of ₹3,000 instead of ₹1,000, and Mamta workers will receive ₹600 per delivery instead of ₹300. This is not just an economic change but a decisive initiative towards their social and functional empowerment.
The Minister further said that for the NDA government, strengthening basic services such as maternal and child healthcare, rural livelihood, and primary health facilities is not a slogan but a ground-level priority. This government believes in delivering results, not just raising slogans. He emphasized that while ASHA workers were neglected under RJD’s rule, the NDA government is committed to ensuring them a respectable position in society. This clearly reflects that both the policy and intent of the Bihar government are now moving towards development.
Shri Nitin Nabin added that the dream of a healthy Bihar can only be realized when healthcare services effectively reach every village. ASHA and Mamta workers are the most crucial link in achieving this goal, and the NDA government stands firmly with them at every step. This transformative approach is becoming the true identity of the new Bihar.
