Bihar Cabinet Meeting: Key Decisions Taken Under CM Nitish Kumar’s Leadership

In a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today on Tuesday, July 15, the Bihar government approved 30 agendas, the ZEE Bihar Jharkhand reported.

According to the report, with the Bihar’s elections approaching, the NDA government is placing special focus on the youth. A major decision was made in this meeting to boost employment and appeal to the younger population.

The cabinet approved proposals related to employment generation, new appointments, and infrastructure development in Bihar. One of the key decisions includes the approval of a target to provide 1 crore (10 million) jobs over the next five years.

Additionally, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) involved in voter list revision will receive a one-time honorarium of 6,000 rupees from the government.

Other major decisions include:
•    Personnel of the Bomb Disposal Squad will be given a monthly risk allowance amounting to 30% of their basic salary.
•    An approval of rupees 7,832.29 crore has been granted for the expansion of the Western Kosi Canal Project.
•    Under the Bihar Businessman Accident Death Grant Scheme 2025, a grant of 5 lakh rupees will be provided in case of accidental death.
•    Judicial service officers in Bihar will now receive annual salary increments similar to other state employees.
•    Land has been approved for the construction of Mandal Jail in Sheohar.
•    Road construction under the Ganga Project in Vaishali district has also been approved.
