Rahul Gandhi Alleges ‘Vote Chori' Ahead of Bihar Assembly Elections, Claims BJP and ECI Deleting Voter Names Using Same Method
Another villager claimed that 187 more voters from the same area had also been removed from the rolls.
A day ahead of the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi alleged large-scale voter deletion in the state. During his presentation on Chori 3.0 on Wednesday, Gandhi accused the BJP and the Election Commission of India (ECI) of “vote chori” (vote theft) in Haryana and claimed that similar tactics were now being used in Bihar.
“It is pretty clear to us that now this is a system. This is now being industrialized, and it can be used in any state,” Rahul Gandhi said after presenting evidence of alleged voter manipulation in Haryana.
“And it is going to be used in Bihar. I am confident that after the Bihar election, we will get the same records and will show you that the same thing has happened in Bihar,” he added.
Rahul further alleged, “This is a systematic method that has been evolved by the Prime Minister, the BJP, and the ECI to kill the Constitution and destroy Indian democracy.”
Gandhi also presented a family from Bihar as “proof” of alleged voter deletion. The family, hailing from Dharampur village in Jamui district, was physically present at the press conference and claimed that the names of all family members had been deleted from the voter list.
Another villager claimed that 187 more voters from the same area had also been removed from the rolls.
“This is the state of Indian democracy,” Rahul remarked.
In a startling revelation, Gandhi also claimed that a Brazilian voter was found listed in Haryana’s electoral rolls.
“Who is this lady? What is her name? Where does she come from? She votes 22 times in Haryana, at 10 different booths, under multiple names Seema, Sweety, Saraswati, Rashmi, Vilma… But it turns out she is actually a Brazilian model,” he alleged.
