Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Punjab Halts Specific Drugs and IV Fluids; Here’s the Detail: The Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Punjab, as a precautionary measure, has ordered the discontinuation of the use of certain IV fluids and infusions in all government health institutions in MKH Patiala and DH Jalandhar until further notice.
The directive follows suspected cases of Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) reported from certain health facilities following the use of specific drugs and IV fluids.
The order has been specifically directed to all Civil Surgeons and Medical Superintendents of MKH Patiala and DH Jalandhar.
The Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Punjab, has directed them to ensure the stoppage of use, issue, and procurement of the following drugs and fluids in all government health institutions under the jurisdiction of MKH Patiala and DH Jalandhar.
