Free Coaching for Rural Youth: CM Mann Launches Mission Pragati in Punjab
On Sunday, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann launched "Mission Pragati", which is a flagship initiative aimed at preparing Punjab’s youth for competitive examinations. The Chief Minister interacted with the inaugural batch of 40 students, emphasizing the government’s commitment to transforming the state into a hub of professional excellence at the District Library in Bathinda.
According to CM Mann, the program is focused on providing assistance to rural youth in clearing high-stakes recruitment exams for the Punjab Police, Armed Forces, and Service Selection Board (SSB).
He highlighted the unique feature of the initiative, which is its "youth helping youth" mentorship model. In this model, the coaching is provided by candidates who have previously appeared for or cleared these examinations.
This approach ensures that aspirants receive practical, exam-oriented guidance and first-hand insights into the selection process.
The Chief Minister said that the state has integrated physical training into the curriculum, with expert trainers from the Punjab Police providing specialized drills.
CM Mann further highlighted that the government is providing essential resources, including free library memberships and comprehensive study materials.
The Chief Minister said that the initiative is designed to support meritorious students who cannot afford expensive coaching to ensure that 'no one is left behind' in the pursuit of government services.
