DGP Punjab Police Gaurav Yadav recently visited Punjab Armed Police (PAP), Jalandhar, to oversee the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT) for the 2025 Constable Recruitment, which has 1,746 vacancies.

“It was truly inspiring to witness young aspirants demonstrating remarkable discipline, perseverance, and physical fitness — qualities that form the foundation of a dedicated @PunjabPoliceInd officer,” said DGP Gaurav Yadav.

“Every step they take in this selection process brings them closer to serving the people of #Punjab with integrity, courage, and professionalism,” he added.

DGP Yadav wished all candidates the very best, emphasizing their role in upholding the proud legacy of the Punjab Police.

Earlier, on October 11, Punjab Police announced that the PST and PMT for the 2025 Constable Recruitment, for both District and Armed Police, had commenced at PAP, Jalandhar.

“This recruitment drive reflects our continued commitment to building a strong, disciplined, and service-oriented police force,” the DGP said in a post on X.

“Punjab Police aims to recruit talented young men and women from all walks of life who are ready to serve the people of Punjab with integrity, courage, and professionalism,” he added.

The recruitment is being conducted to fill 1,746 constable vacancies.

The selection process includes a written exam, PMT, PST, document verification, and a medical examination. The PST comprises running, long jump, and high jump, while the PMT checks candidates’ height. Candidates must clear both tests to qualify for the next stage.
