BREAKING NEWS: Amritpal Singh's NSA Extended For 1 Year

Amritpal Singh's Aides NSA Extended News: The National Security Act (NSA), imposed on the newly elected MP from Khadoor Sahib Amritpal Singh, is likely to be extended for one year, the sources said on Wednesday. Notably, the NSA imposed on Amritpal Singh's close aides has been reportedly extended.

However, there has been no official confirmation on the same.

It is pertinent to mention that the Khadoor Sahib Lok Sabha seat was the most-debated discussion as it was unclear if Amritpal Singh, who has been in the Dibrugarh jail under the National Security Act since April last year and has chosen to contest as an Independent, would be allowed to contest elections or not.

Well, he didn't just contest the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, he marked his victory as well. Earlier, the legal experts believed that there was no bar as per the ECI guidelines for an accused in the NSA case to contest elections but the only contradiction was that Amritpal had stated that he had no faith in the Constitution of India and that the state had declared him country’s enemy by imposing the NSA.

However, he crossed all the hurdles and contested elections and marked a landslide victory from the Khadoor Sahib seat. Now, it would be interesting to see when and how will he be taking oath as a Member of Parliament.
