PM Narendra Modi Takes ‘Elephant Safari’ in Assam's Kaziranga

PM Narendra Modi at Kaziranga National Park: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to Assam from March 8. Meanwhile, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of projects costing Rs 18,000 crore. Today, he went to a jungle safari in Kaziranga National Park. PM Modi stayed at Kaziranga National Park on the evening of March 8.

Kaziranga National Park is spread over 430 square kilometers and more than 1000 animals of different species live in it. But the specialty of this reserve is the one-horned rhinoceros. According to government data, there are more than 2200 one-horned rhinos in this park.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Kaziranga National Park on Friday to a warm welcome from locals. In the meanwhile, people were seen excited to catch a glimpse of him during his journey from the airport to the Kaziranga Guest House. After spending the night there, he set off for a two-hour visit to the park, known for its population of over 180 Bengal tigers.

Following his time at Kaziranga, PM Modi will now travel to Arunachal Pradesh for two events. Upon returning to Jorhat in the afternoon, he will inaugurate the 'Statue of Bravery,' a 125-foot-tall monument honoring the great Ahom commander Lachit Borphukan. Later, he will visit Meleng Meteli Pother to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for various central and state projects totaling around Rs 18,000 crore.

Meanwhile, traditional Bihu and other folk songs and dances were performed on the route and PM Modi felicitated them in a post on social media platform 'X'. While sharing pictures of the presentations, the Prime Minister wrote on 'X', "A very special welcome was received in Golaghat district of Assam. Glimpse of Assam's diverse and beautiful culture."
