Jammu: The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was today reopened for traffic after remaining closed for a day due to heavy rains in Ramban and Udhampur districts. Over 200 vehicles stranded at different places on the highway have been cleared after the road reopened. The highway was closed following landslides triggered by rains in Udhampur and Ramban districts yesterday. The men and machines of BRO worked round-the-clock and cleared the blockade on the 300-km-long highway. "Traffic on the national highway has been restored with the rest of the country after suspension due to landslides triggered by heavy overnight rains," police officials said.PTI
