Manali: Three persons were arrested while two girls were rescued by the Manali Police yesterday night after it busted an online sex racket that was being run by a group of people from other states. The police said the persons had designed websites on Manali escorts services which they were operating from a guesthouse.
The accused used to supply girls to various hotels in Manali town. Manali SHO KD Sharma said they laid a trap to arrest the pimps red-handed and contacted the supplier on phone number given on the website yesterday evening.
He said policemen in the guise of customer reached a private hotel in Manali town. Sharma said a pimp was arrested red-handed. He said the accused had been identified as Mukesh Kumar, Mohsin Ansari and Harvinder Singh. A case under Section 3, 4 and 6 of the Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act has been registered.
