Chandigarh: The Haryana Government has finalised the competent authorities and the financial powers vested with them for finalisation of direct online purchase of goods/stores and services on Government e-Marketplace (GeM) by various government departments and government agencies.
An official spokesman said to finalise the online purchase of such goods/stores which were store items of Directorate of Supplies and Disposals and services for which indents are received by Directorate of Supplies and Disposals, there would be a committee under the chairmanship of concerned purchase branch head, Supplies and Disposals Department.
He said the committee would have financial powers for all online purchases of goods/stores and services valuing below Rs 35 lakh, whereas the Standing Purchase Committee (Lower) at the level of head of the department, Supplies and Disposals would have financial powers for all online purchases valuing between Rs 35 lakh and Rs 1 crore.
Similarly, to finalise the online purchase cases of stores/goods and services of boards, corporations and federations which are processed by them, the boards, corporations and federations would be competent at their own levels for the online purchase cases of goods/stores and services valuing up to Rs 1 crore.
He said to finalise the online purchase of such items required by government departments which are not store items of Directorate of Supplies and Disposals and services which are processed by the concerned government departments, the Standing Purchase Committee (Lower) at the level of head of the department of the concerned department would have financial powers for all purchases of goods/stores and services valuing below Rs 35 lakh, whereas Standing Purchase Committee (Higher) at the level of administrative secretary of the concerned department would have financial powers for all purchases of goods/stores and services valuing between Rs 35 lakh and Rs 1 crore.
