A high drama was witnessed at Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College and Hospital here today after an alleged altercation between a doctor and a patient.

A high drama was witnessed at Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College and Hospital here today after an alleged altercation between a doctor and a patient.

However, doctors reportedly broke cameras of some mediapersons who went there to cover the incident. Following in the incident, the mediapersons filed a complaint against the doctors.

According to information, Karam Singh, a resident of Shamgarh village, went to hospital as he was suffering from stomach ache. Meanwhile, an argument broke out between the doctor and him on some issue.

When the mediapersons reached there to cover the issue, four to five doctors reportedly snatched their cameras and broke them. Agitated over the attitude of the doctors, the mediapersons approached the police as well the Director of the hospital.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Shakuntla Yadav, Civil Lines SHO Mohan Lal, Kurukshetra Development Board Secretary Ashok Sukhija, Senior Deputy Mayor Krishan Garg, Director Dr Kashyap, Joint Director Dharambir Singh, Tehsildar Sham Lal and others tried to pacify the mediapersons who were demanding action against the doctors.

Dr Kashyap assured a departmental inquiry against the doctors. “I will conduct a meeting with officials to stop such incidents in future,” said Dr Aditya Dahiya, DC.
