Barnala Admin Announces Several Rs 7 Lakh Lucky Draws For Farmers For Stubble Management: Under the guidelines of the Punjab Government, the District Administration of Barnala has taken an initiative to encourage farmers of the district for proper stubble management by launching a Rs 7 lakh lucky draw.
Deputy Commissioner of Barnala, T. Banith, IAS, stated that to motivate farmers to dispose of stubble in an environmentally friendly manner instead of burning it, the administration will conduct a lucky draw worth Rs 7 lakh.
According to information, the first lucky draw will be held on October 17 (Friday), in which 25 farmers will get a chance to win prizes.
The first prize is Rs 20,000,
Second prize is Rs 15,000,
Third prize is Rs 10,000,
and the remaining farmers will receive Rs 2,500 each.
Coming draws wil be conducted on the following dates:
The second draw will be held on October 24,
third on October 31,
fourth on November 7,
fifth on November 14,
sixth on November 21,
and the seventh on November 28.
For this, a link and QR code have been issued through which farmers can apply for the lucky draw.

After harvesting the paddy and preparing the field, they must fill out the follow-up form on the same link and upload photos.

The Deputy Commissioner appealed to the farmers to use government-subsidized machinery and manage the stubble within the fields themselves, so that through collective efforts, Barnala district can be made a leading example in proper stubble management.
How to Register and How to Fill the Follow-Up Form

There, you will need to upload the following details:
• Your name,
• Father’s name,
• Mobile number,
• District,
• Block,
• Village name,
• Khasra number (land record ID),
• Since when and on how much land you haven’t burned stubble,
• Which machine(s) you use,
• Land ownership documents (Fard),
• ID proof, etc.
After submitting, a receipt will be generated.
Once the harvesting is done, go to the same link and click on "Follow-Up" to fill out the follow-up form.
In the follow-up form, you need to provide:
• Your mobile number or registration number,
• Geo-tagged photos from:
o Before harvesting,
o On the day of harvesting,
o And up to 5 days after harvesting.
After this, the concerned nodal officer will visit the field for on-site verification.
Control Room Established for Stubble Management
The Deputy Commissioner informed that the District Administration has set up a control room for stubble management, and its contact number is 01679-233031.
The control room will remain operational daily from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM during the season.
If any farmer faces issues related to machinery, they can contact the number. Also, if any instance of stubble burning is noticed in a field, it can be reported to the number.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that in the 25 villages of the district where the most cases of stubble burning have occurred, he himself, along with SDMs (Sub-Divisional Magistrates), are conducting awareness camps for farmers.
Additionally, 25 Group-A officers have been deployed, Police officers are also visiting villages with them.
In the district’s 13 sub-divisions, a total of 40 cluster and assistant cluster officers have been appointed.
Moreover, around 250 nodal officers have been deployed at the village level, who will not only spread awareness among farmers but also closely monitor cases of stubble burning.
