Farmers Protest 2024 Delhi Airport issues advisory ahead of farmers' 'Delhi Chalo' march

Farmers ‘Delhi Chalo’ March Protest 2024: The Delhi Airport on Tuesday suggested planning your trip well and keeping track of possible delays and other routes due to the farmers' protest at different Delhi borders.

The Delhi Airport said that because of the expected farmers' protest at various Delhi borders starting on 13.02.2024, there will be changes to traffic routes. From 12.02.2024, there will be restrictions and changes to traffic routes for commercial vehicles.

The Delhi Police issued a traffic advisory on Monday ahead of the farmers' protest. They informed commuters about vehicle movement restrictions at three borders in Delhi.

Various farmer groups, mainly from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab, are marching towards Delhi on February 13 to demand a law guaranteeing a Minimum Support Price (MSP) for their crops. This was one of the conditions they set for ending their protest in 2021.

For traveling to places like Sonipat, Panipat, and Karnal via NH-44 on buses, they should go from ISBT to Majnu Ka Tilla, then to Signature Bridge, Khajuri Chowk, Loni Border, and finally to KMP via Khekra.

For Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) heading towards Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal, etc., via NH-44, they should take exit number-2 at the NH-44 intersection, then go to Harish Chander Hospital crossing, Bawana road crossing, Bawana Chowk, Bawana-Auchandi Road, reaching Auchandi Border, and finally to KMP via Saidpur Chowki.
