Mumbai: He is known for bringing strong female characters and small town stories on celluloid in an entertaining way, and director Aanand L Rai says his sole aim is to continue encouraging content-driven cinema. Rai started his career with "Strangers" and "Thodi Life Thoda Magic" but both the films were unable to impress the audience. It was the success of his 2011 Kangana Ranaut-starrer "Tanu Weds Manu" that helped Rai establish a foothold in the industry.

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Inder Kumar, who starred in Salman Khan's "Wanted", died due to a massive heart attack here today. He was 43. According to family sources, the actor suffered a heart attack at around 12:30 AM while he was at his residence in Four Bungalows, Andheri.

Varun joins Shoojit Sircar for a love story, titled 'October'
New Delhi: Varun Dhawan and Shoojit Sircar are collaborating on a slice-of-the-life love story "October", which will be shot in Delhi. The production is set to begin this September. The movie also brings back Sircar's dream team of writer Juhi Chaturvedi and co-producer Ronnie Lahiri after "Vicky Donor" and "Piku". Sircar, who grew up in Delhi and is familiar with the city like the back of his hands, said he always wanted to explore the concept of love in one of his films.
