BCCC directs Sony to move 'Pehredaar Piya Ki' to 10 pm slot
New Delhi: The Broadcasting Content Complaints Council has directed Sony channel to shift the daily soap "Pehredaar Piya Ki" to the 10 pm slot and run it with a scroll saying it does not promote child marriage, an official said today. The serial, which began airing last month, focuses on a nine-year-old boy, Ratan (Afaan Khan), and his marriage to 18 -year-old Diya (Tejasswi Prakash). In its meeting held today, the Council ordered the channel to shift the show to the 10 pm slot, the restrictive hour on the small screen.
Shah Rukh Khan visits Dilip Kumar
Mumbai: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan paid a visit to Dilip Kumar at his home, a week after the veteran actor was discharged from the hospital. Kumar, 94, was admitted to city-based Lilavati Hospital on August 2, where he was treated for dehydration and urinary tract infection.
FCAT clears 'Babumoshai Bandookbaaz' with eight minor cuts
Mumbai: Nawazuddin Siddiqui-starrer "Babumoshai Bandookbaaz" has been cleared by the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT) with "eight minor, voluntary cuts". The director of the film, Kushan Nandy made the announcement on Twitter. "FCAT clears #BabumoshaiBandookbaaz with eight minor, voluntary cuts. Despite #PahlajNihalani's last letter to stop it. See you on August 25," he wrote.
