Kangana Ranaut is one of the top actresses in the industry, also one of the most bankable one. But apart from her successful professional records, she is currently topping the headlines after her relationship diaries has become talk of the town.
Kangana’s explosive interviews grabbed eyeballs but at the same time she has also fallen into trouble due to it. Kangana spoke at length about her abusive relationship with actor Aditya Pancholi on the show Aap Ki Adaalat.
That didn’t go down well neither with Aditya nor his wife Zarina Wahab. The couple slapped legal action against ‘Simran’ actress and Ms. Ranaut’s lawyer has responded to the notice.
Kangana's lawyer, Rizwan Siddiquee, replied to the legal defamation notice sent by Aditya which was in response to Kangana’s comments on a TV channel.
The actress spoke about her relationship with Aditya and mentioned the physical and mental trauma she went through. "The defamation notice received by the Advocate representing Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab have been duly replied to.
My client who has been a victim of crime has largely spoken about her personal experiences, which were already reported on various media platforms since the year 2007.
Besides the laws of the land do not give any added advantage to any male person to silence any (victim) woman under the threat of filing defamation proceedings against her," Rizwan Siddiquee said in a statement. For her comments, Aditya Pancholi labelled Kangana ‘mad’ and had said that he will take legal action against her.
Kangana, during an interview, branded her relationship with Aditya as ‘abusive’ and said: "I'm a year younger than his daughter. I was a minor. For me, this was all very new - the world that I had come into. I remember going to his wife and meeting her, and I'm like, 'Please save me! I'm younger than your daughter.
I'm a minor and I can't tell my parents’.” Kangana, in fact, had filed an FIR against Aditya in-spite of industry veterans advising her against it. The police, however, intervened, following which dust settled on the matter. Aditya Pancholi, known for his roles in films such as Yes Boss and Saathi, said that Kangana’s words are nothing but lies. He is married to actress Zarina Wahab since 1986.
Kangana Ranaut’s Simran released on September 15 and witnessed a dismal record at the box office. She is currently busy with her next project, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.
