Khalistani Terrorist Pannun’s 'Sikhs for Justice' Threatens Diljit Dosanjh for Touching Amitabh Bachchan’s Feet on KBC Latest: Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun's outfit Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) has reportedly threatened to shut down Diljit Dosanjh's concert in Australia on 1 November, according to a report by India Today and multiple other reports.
The threat has been issued to the Popular Punjabi singer for touching Bollywood veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan’s feet during Dosanjh's appearance on 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 17' on the weekend.
The outfit has called the feet-touching act “disrespect” to the 1984 “anti-sikh riot victims”.
“By touching the feet of Amitabh Bachchan, the man whose words fuelled the 1984 genocide, Diljit Dosanjh has insulted every victim, every widow, and every orphan of the 1984 Sikh genocide," Pannun is quoted as saying in a statement.
“This is not ignorance; it is betrayal. The Sikhs who were burned alive, the women raped, the children butchered, their ashes are not yet cold. No Sikh with a conscience can perform or celebrate on November 1, the Day of Remembrance," he added.
Banned Khalistani outfit also reportedly wrote to Jathedar Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj, urging him to summon the actor-singer.
“Reminder-never forget the November 1084 Sikh Genocide-and the faces behind genocide violence,” Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has written in a statement.
“After Indira Gandhi was pronounced dead at AIIMS on 31 October 1984, Amitabh Bachchan, calling Indira Gandhi his mother, declared: “Blood stains of Indiraji’s killer must reach Sikh homes…," the statement further read.
He has alleged that the actor’s statement led to the genocide of Sikhs.
Pannun has urged Akal Takht Sahib to take "suo motu notice of Diljit Dosanjh’s public act of touching the feet of Amitabh Bachchan.
The Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has also urged Akal Takht Sahib to summon Diljit Dosanjh before the Takht to explain the act.
He has further urged Takht to issue “a Panthic directive reminding all Sikh artists, institutions and organizations that the 1984 Sikh Genocide is a matter of remembrance, not reconciliation with those linked to its incitement.”
“The Sikh Panth awaits the Akal Takht Sahib’s stand,” Gurpatwant Singh Pannun concluded the statement.
According to India Today, Diljit Dosanjh is currently in Australia for his Aura Tour. The report added that the singer has made history by becoming the first Indian artist to completely sell out a stadium show in Sydney.
The show’s tickets were sold out, some going for as high as $800 each, with 30,000 fans in attendance, the report added.
