JAMMU: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan made a pilgrimage to the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine situated atop Trikuta hills in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir. This visit holds special significance as it preceded the much-anticipated release of his forthcoming film, 'Jawan'.

Sources reveal that the 58-year-old superstar arrived at the shrine late on Tuesday night to offer his heartfelt prayers. Reportedly, He was seen wearing a hooded blue jacket, with his face fully covered.

Officials from the Vaishno Devi shrine board, accompanied by a small contingent of policemen and Shah Rukh Khan's personal staff, were present during his visit. A brief video has circulated on various social media platforms, underscoring the actor's visit. This marks SRK's second visit in a span of just nine months. The actor had previously paid his respects to Mata Vaishno Devi in December 2022, shortly before the release of his blockbuster hit 'Pathaan'.

The visit to the shrine took place as Shah Rukh Khan gears up for the release of "Jawan", a high-octane action thriller directed by renowned Tamil filmmaker Atlee. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on September 7. 'Jawan' boasts an ensemble cast, including Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, and Sanya Malhotra. The film also features a special appearance by Deepika Padukone.
