MUMBAI: Bollywood Diva Malaika Arora recently embraced the spirit of Onam by celebrating the festive occasion with her family in Mumbai. Sharing a glimpse on social media, Malaika provided fans with candid insights into her Onam festivities that included traditional rituals, delectable feasts, and heartwarming family moments.

Malaika Arora took to her Instagram to showcase the joyous moments shared with her loved ones. The actress, along with her sister Amrita Arora, enjoyed Onam celebration, as they are of half-Malayalee heritage through their mother, Joyce Arora, who hails from Kerala.

The first image portrays the trio, Malaika, her mother, and Amrita, elegantly posed near a dining table adorned with traditional banana leaves, each hosting a delightful assortment of dishes. The essence of Onam radiates through the second picture, displaying a vibrant pookalam (floral rangoli) created to enhance the festive ambiance. Another picture showcased the scrumptious Kerala sadya (traditional feast) that adorned their dining table.

Expressing gratitude for the heartfelt culinary endeavors of her mother, Malaika penned, "Happy Onam. Wishing everyone a very happy and prosperous Onam … Mom, you are the world's best cook, and feeding friends and family makes you the happiest."

Notably, Onam, an annual harvest festival deeply rooted in the culture of Kerala, pays homage to the legendary asura king Mahabali and signifies good governance. The vibrant celebration brings forth a sense of unity and cultural heritage.
