Badshah Flaunts Ultra-Rare Pink ‘Barbie’ Rolex Worth INR 9 Crore, Becomes First Indian Owner
Rapper and singer Badshah is again in the spotlight because of his ultra-rare Rolex Daytona, informally dubbed the “Barbie” Rolex, in the world of luxury timepieces. The artist posted images on December 18 from the set of Indian Idol, where he is a judge, showing off the limited-edition watch on his wrist, a piece so exclusive that only 10 units exist in the world, as per fashion and lifestyle reports.
Badshah, also known for his passion for haute horology, has now become the first Indian to own this exceptional Rolex model, further cementing his reputation as a connoisseur of rare luxury items.
According to watch experts, the Rolex is crafted in 18-carat yellow gold and boasts an eye-catching pink aesthetic, with nearly 40 pink-cut sapphires set into the bezel and 12 additional sapphires marking the hours on the dial. This “Barbie” nickname emerged among collectors due to its vivid pink palette, although it is not an official name used by Rolex.
According to horology specialists, it is part of the iconic Daytona series, a collection first introduced in 1963 and revered among chronograph enthusiasts. This off-catalogue creation is not listed on retail websites, making it one of the most coveted Rolex pieces globally.
While the official retail value of this model is not publicly confirmed, its estimated market price is around USD 1 million (approximately INR 9 crore) due to scarcity and demand, horology experts tracking rare watches noted.
Several international celebrities, including footballer Lionel Messi and actor Drake, have also been spotted with versions of the Rolex Daytona “Barbie”, highlighting its status among elite collectors.
